Maori bands represent the premium range of Epsealon speargun propulsion rubbers. Developed for spearfishers looking for power, flexibility and consistent performance, they feature a specific dipped-latex formulation that provides progressive stretch and a smoother loading action.
Their elasticity delivers a fluid and controlled release during the shot while helping maintain easy gun tracking and stable shaft guidance. Their construction also helps preserve performance at depth, where pressure can affect the behaviour of more conventional rubber bands.
The black outer coating is combined with a contrasting orange inner layer. This internal layer makes it easier to monitor wear around the screw-in wishbones and quickly identify damage before the rubber becomes critically weakened. A UV-resistant treatment also helps preserve the properties of the latex against repeated exposure to sunlight and the marine environment.
Available in 14, 16 and 18 mm diameters, Maori bands allow users to adapt loading effort and power to the speargun, setup and personal preference. They are supplied as a pair with screw-in wishbones, ready for installation.
